Tonight's food was delicious and unique. I was able to enjoy familiar dishes such as oysters on the half shell and soft shell crab prepared in new ways. The sushi was also delicious. Mitsu-San prepares his fish in a style that requires no additional soy sauce (or wasabi for that matter). Our bar server, Julia (?) was most attentive and able to field a wide array of questions from neighboring guests in such a pleasant manner that I almost wished I had questions as well! The ambience is terrifically upbeat and it's a definite joy to sit at the bar and watch as the chefs bang out nigiri after nigiri. I don't eat sushi often and this place is definitely worth it for a special night out.

One of the best sushi I had before in San Diego. The salmon sushi was melt in the mouth. The miso black cod was ultra delicious. I am going back again if I am in town.

Food: Great sushi it took me back to Japan on how fresh the fish that is being served at this place. Service: Friendly staff and attentive. They took their time to get to know you and how you find their restaurant. Building relationships to make you their regulars. Ambiance: The place is decorated with hanging plants. The horsetail plant added the aesthetic of bamboo. The price of their sushi is very reasonable for the quality of food being served. They are Michelin Recommended 2022

My friend and I came here on a Friday around noon. We had made a reservation beforehand so we were quickly seated. Service was very attentive as the waitresses were keen to filling our waters and made sure we knew about their specials menu. After ordering, it took some time before our food came out. The chirashi bowl was packed with fresh seafood and there was ample rice. The sushi lover set also had a lot of delicious options.

The hostess was friendly and sat us immediately from our reservation. Our server was attentive and all the staff here helped each other out. It felt very cohesive and loving, the way they worked out helping bring it each dish to different tables with a smile and a explanation. The place was twinkling and beautiful, the experience outstanding. Every peice of fish or shellfish was fresh and exquisitely prepared. The wagyu sando was tender and flavorful. Absolute gem in San Diego and a must try!

One of my new favorite places to grab sushi! From the quality of fish to the service, everything was perfect. Sat at the bar and had the omakase dining option ($150 per person). A lot of what's served is flown in from Japan and presented in the most delicious way possible. Thanks again for an amazing dining experience

Chef Yuki was amazing! I'm so happy I did the omakase experience. It was six courses , miso soup, appetizer, sashimi, hot food, nigiri, and dessert. Himitsu carried a large variety of unique fishes. The experience of eating at the bar was magical. A real pleasure having Chef Yuki prepare all the food for us. He's also a great conversation and has so much knowledge for the fish and craft.

The extra wait for a bar seat is worth it. You get to talk to the sushi masters and get their input on all the various selections and specials that you might be in the mood for. You're able to order directly with the sushi master, but the area is also tended to by 2 other servers that are attentive (one could argue maybe too attentive?) and they explain all the wonderful dishes that you see other people ordering. Musts: otoro, gindara, tempura hand roll, amberjack, hamachi tostadas, soft shell crab roll The space is on a cap corner and about 70% of it is outdoor. There is a large square space that is covered by a retractable roof situation and a handful of umbrella tables dotting the entrance from the parking lot. Seems like a great place to eat during warmer days. Bar area is fully enclosed.
